Good base for Bike Park Wales - Don't expect much and you won't be upset. When pressed a very annoyed looking waitress will arrive at your cubicle. The restaurant is set out like an old 80's office cubicles and each one has a red button "press to call waitress". If you want cooked you have to order the night before, even just eggs on toast, which we were not made aware of and no one really seemed to care about or make an effort to sort out. The included breakfast is a joke, described as a continental, but better described as cornflakes and a few packet croissants. The signature Carvery is an ok meal for the money, think of a Toby carvery and you won't be too far wrong or disappointed. Most importantly for us the hotel let us keep our bikes inside the hotel locked away and safe! They do ask the bikes are to be cleaned, which is reasonable, before bringing them into the hotel. However, look past the surface and the rooms were clean when we arrived, and cleaned daily. We had a total of 6 bedrooms and all were very dated to look at. The hotel has dated decor, in reception, bar, dining room and the bedrooms. Most rooms seem to have a double bed and a single bed for those wanting to share. For £60 a night for a double room you can't really complain.
